With the correct placing, natural stone boulders can create beautiful focal points within your garden or outdoor space – with the right planting, they can look like they've been there forever. Natural and dramatic, our boulders are mainly sourced from Scotland. With sizes ranging from a few kilos up to several tonnes‚ stone boulders make a fantastic addition to beach‚ stream‚ lake and pool schemes. They can be used for Natural Play designs for climbing on, or for seating – the possibilities are endless!
No two boulders are ever the same, so we suggest that you take your time to pick one that's the right size, shape and colour for your scheme. Larger boulders will of course have more of an impact in your design, while a cluster of smaller boulders will create a more subtle look.
Natural stone transforms when wet, and this is no exception with boulders. Make sure you look at how the boulders will change in the rain or under water fountains, and assess whether this will still work with your chosen colour palette. When positioning your boulders, think about burying a small portion of the stone base beneath the ground to make them look 'grown in' and natural.
