149 How sustainable are the products? Schellevis always aim for the best quality while trying to make the smallest possible impact on people and nature. They try to use as many natural materials as possible in their production process, with more than 25% of their material consisting of recycled materials currently. Delivery of materials such as gravel and sand are by boat, reason being that a single delivery via boat is equal to 40 deliveries by lorry. They also do their best to work with local suppliers in order to keep delivery emissions to a minimum. Schellevis are constantly working to improve the sustainability of both their product and the process of production and delivery, aiming for minimal wastage. Their focus is to constantly test and improve their product to make it more sustainable in the years to come.
