British paving is now on show in a wonderful and permanent path created at the HQ of the British Geological Survey (BGS) located at Keyworth near Nottingham. Every type of UK paving can be seen‚ not every individual quarry but every category with current production. There are also some interesting materials not now in production but some could be. Really significant support from the British stone industry has helped us bring this superb project to fruition.
In the geological sequence itself there is some 1200m2 of paving with another 500m2 forming the delightful entranceway. As you would expect‚ there are also many interesting specimen rocks‚ some quite spectacular.
The presence of this path is such that we have devoted a new section of our website to displaying the photographs and detailing the materials used. The plan dimensions and thicknesses have been selected to be appropriate for the application but also to be those that are most efficiently produced in the quarry so keeping waste to a minimum and consequently keeping costs down at the same time.
