RHS Forest Bathing Garden

This garden design uses the practice of forest bathing as inspiration for the garden. Forest bathing can be done with a guide and involves spending time exploring the nature around us, using our sense to create mindfulness awareness. A canopy of trees in the garden creates dappled shade engaging visitors senses as they notice the patterns made by the shade of the trees and the sound the leaves make in the breeze. Leaf litter and mosses are found at ground level to contribute towards a forest aroma. The textural planting includes contrasting leaf shapes, colours and patterns.
