Children's Health Foundation Garden of Music and Play
Project year: 2024
Posted: 13 Jun, 2024
This garden showcases how the Children’s Health Foundation brings joy to sick children at Children’s Health Ireland through music and play. It emphasizes nature’s healing power, offering comfort for patients, parents, and staff in the new Children’s Hospital.
Features include a chime sculpture, a pond with flowing water, and a moon gate leading to a central garden with raised beds and an insect hotel. Four living walls represent Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght, and Connolly hospitals. A pavilion provides a resting space with plant views, while deep borders immerse visitors in nature and symbolize treatment milestones. This serene environment offers a refuge from the clinical hospital atmosphere.
The garden features Resin Bound pathways created using Resin Rox blends supplied by CED Stone.
