Whitfield
Gardens, situated alongside Tottenham Court Road, has been
refurbished as part of the West End Project to create and improve
public garden areas; allowing people to enjoy relaxing open spaces in
Central West London. We were chosen by the contractor to supply the
stone elements to brighten up and improve this great space with an
interesting colour mix.
This
was a challenging project supplied during the 2020 pandemic; we had
to deal with periodic factory and quarry lock-down closures.
Our
granite supply included for Portuguese fine picked buff yellow, red
and silver beige paving and sett mixes. Special angled Portuguese
silver grey step units with dark grey nosing sections as well as
kerbs and edgings. We also water-jet cut letters into several of the
paving units which we then in-filled with black granite.
