A few months back, Alexandra and Ed Burnham from Burnham Landscaping came to visit us at our London East – West Thurrock depot to discuss the design with our Managing Director, Giles Heap. Alexandra presented her designs to Giles, which included some very narrow, tightly curved paths that would circle around different sections of the garden.

‘We wanted to create a natural-looking plunge pool in the Viking garden’ said Stephen. ‘a natural spring would reflect the geological formations found across many Nordic countries. Millie’s main focus for this design was to create an urban garden that would see low cost, easily accessible materials take centre stage. ‘I wanted to think about how a space can be used in a different way’, explained Millie. ‘For me, urban regeneration is about being inventive in order to improve an area, and I wanted this garden to help encourage that’.

With the show only a week away, the Zoflora and Caudwell Children’s Wild Garden is nearly complete – including a fantastic woodland path made from ‘shrinking’ paving slabs donated by CED which have been especially designed for children with autism.

Visitors to RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show will be treated to an urban eco-garden with a difference – one that looks like a green forest glade, that you can eat! The London Glades show garden has been designed to appear like a beautiful oasis on the edge of a peaceful forest, complete with CED-donated boulders, wild flowers, trees, shrubs and perennials.

David Harber’s award-winning creations will once again be on display at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, in a beautifully designed stand along the prominent Main Avenue.
