Designed to capture the spirit, charm and elegance of Charleston, the ‘Great Gardens of the USA: The Charleston Garden’ is designed by Sadie May Stowell, on behalf of Brand USA and completes her three gardens submitted to this year’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.

Last year, garden designer, Sadie May Stowell designed two gardens for Brand USA at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, where she won a bronze and a silver medal. This year sees her returning with three gardens on behalf of Brand USA, all three of which CED Stone Group are excited to be supplying.

First timer at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Hay Joung Hwang, is designing ‘The LG Smart Garden’, situated at the top of Main Avenue. Originally from Korea, Hay moved to the UK in 2006 where she completed various courses including interior design and floristry before training as a landscape architect at Sheffield University.

Olicana Mosaics is a local company based in Ilkey, West Yorkshire and is run by David James. David designs and creates intricate mosaics for use in landscaping and despite being such a small company, is no stranger to Flower Shows.

Not only a RHS Chelsea Flower Show Garden, Honeysuckle Blue is part of a larger initiative to teach children and educational groups the age-old techniques of using plants to create their fabric dye. The garden is designed by Dutch artist Claudy Jongstra, whose studio raise their own sheep, keep bees, cultivate a botanical garden and grow their own plants for dyes which are then used as materials in their work.

Perhaps one of the most exciting features at the Chelsea Flower Show this year is the interactive acoustic garden by Papworth Trust; something which has never before been hosted at the world recognised event. Joining forces to make show history are world famous solo percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie and leading disabled charity, Papworth Trust.

BALI Yorkshire and North East are collaborating with their members to exhibit their show garden ‘Tea for Two’ at this year’s Harrogate Spring Flower Show, which aims to celebrate two very different traditions and ceremonies surrounding tea. The garden takes inspiration from the very English tradition ‘Afternoon Tea’ and the traditional Japanese tea ceremony and brings them together in an effortless and simplistic manner.

2015 marked the 25th anniversary for the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, where CED Stone Group were proud to supply hard landscaping materials to several of the show gardens.
One of these show gardens was the highly acclaimed silver medallist ‘A Growing Obsession’, designed by Jean Wardrop and Alexandra Stevenson, with the focus of recreating a Victorian lady’s flower garden.

Olicana Mosaics is successfully run by David James, who designs and creates detailed mosaics for use in landscape design. David specifically creates the pieces with flat surfaces so that they are easy to walk and drive on and can therefore be used in place of a pathway or a paving slab. He also makes them in multiple pieces that fit together, so that they can be conveniently transported and installed later on.

Ced Stone Group supplied stone products to six gardens at this years RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is the world’s largest annual flower show and CED are delighted to have bee represented so well at the prestigious event. Most of the materials were supplied to the gardens by CED’s Thames Valley Depot.

Back in May we experienced huge success, supplying to numerous Chelsea Flower Show gardens, and it was with great pleasure to hear the news of Cityscapes’ “Remix Gardens” project. This project was created so that the materials from the Cloudy Bay Discovery Garden could be recycled in such a creative way that they went on to build 5 new garden designs across London.

From 16th to 18th May CED were pleased to exhibit at the 144th Balmoral Show. The show took place at the King’s Hall Complex in South Belfast. It offers a colourful combination of competition and showmanship along with daily displays of livestock, food tasting and world class attractions.
